In this validation surface, waves on an elastic half space are considered. In this case, the surface waves are generated by a prescribed displacement that is activated harmonically. A comparison is made between the results from the PLAXIS dynamic module and results obtained by Chouw, Le & Schmid (1991) using boundary elements.
