I have a model that I am trying to render. The output render is too dark and splotchy with unnecessary shadows.
Check your Light Setup within the Light Manager (Visualization workflow>Home tab>Lighting) and ensure you are using the correct settings. Excess darkness and shadows can be caused by a lack of light within the render or incorrect positioning of the lighting.
In particular, the Solar Positioning of the Solar light (i.e. time of day, direction, etc.) can make a huge difference in this regard.
Keep in mind the View window within MicroStation will only give a rough preview of the resulting lighting in the output render.
