Problem

Trying to convert/attach .fls file in Point Clouds, but it fails to convert displaying Convert failed message.

Solution

The best way to import Faro file is to have fully *.fls exported/created from Faro Scene. Exported Faro file will not have 0 kB size. If Faro file has 0 kB size, most likely it’s a raw scan and you need to check the following:

          1. To import raw scan, you need to check if you have all the necessary data in the folder containing Faro *.fls file.

          2. Make sure you have the latest MicroStation CONNECT Update installed.

          3. Make sure folder containing all the data files is correctly named. The name should contain .fls at the end.

Ex. If folder name containing Faro file is Test.fls you can Attach/Convert it in Point Clouds. If you change folder name containing Faro file to Test it will fail to attach.
