Problem
How to create points at a specified distance along a line
Solution
In order to create points along a line, please use the tool:
Construct Active Pnt @ Dist Along Element
Located under the Linear Toolbox.
It can also be accessed using the keyin:
CONSTRUCT POINT DISTANCE
Set the Active Point Type either as:
- Element — A zero-length line
- Character — A character
- Cell — A cell
Select the element at the point from which to measure the distance.
Enter a data point to define the direction in which to construct the Active Point.
