Having created or received a file containing a Parametric Solid generated by the Extrude Along Path tool, howcan I display the Path element used to create the Parametric Solid.

Background

When using the Extrude Along Path tool there is a Tool Setting that can be set to Hide, Show or Copy and Hide the Path element. By Default this is set to 'Hide' and can be easily overlooked as the Tool Settings dialog needs to be expanded to gain access.

Steps to Accomplish

Option 1 Use the Parametric Solids icon 'Show Input Element'

1. Select the Parametric Solid using the Element Selection tool
2. Move cursor over and right click on the Extrude Along Path icon
3. Select the option 'Show Input Element'

Option 2 Use the Properties dialog

1. Select the Parametric Solid using the Element Selection tool
2. Open the Properties dialog (If not already open)
3. In the Properties Dialog expand and locate the Extrude Along Path feature
4. Right mouse click on the Extrude Along Path feature and select 'Show Input Element'
5. Enter a Datapoint in the View
