It is not necessary to attach DCDRAPE.PAL procedural material in order to drape an image.
1. Load a raster file in Raster Manager
2. Right-click on the header row of the Raster Manager and select "Draping"
3. Select the raster file you want to drape and toggle on the Draping for the selected raster file
4. Open the Material Editor
Visualization > Home > Materials > Edit
5. Make a new material
Material > New
6. In the new material (on the right-side) General tab, click the Pattern Map icon to open the Map Editor dialog.
7. Change the map type from Image to Special. This gives you the option to choose dcdrape as the pattern map type.
8. Assign/Attach this material to elements you wish to drape with any attached raster file(s) that have Draping enabled.
9. Set the View to one of the Illustration modes or Smooth or Smooth with Shadows
