Problem description
MicroStation could not be installed. The installation failed with error code 0x80070643.
Cause
The installation failed due to insufficient disk space on C: drive or drive where MicroStation is being installed.
Resolution Steps
1.) Close the installer
2.) Go to the C:\Users\User.Name\AppData\Local\Temp and check for the installation logs. Specifically look for the xxx_{MicroStation Version Number}PowerProductPackage.log e.g., MicroStation_2026_20260331132533_001_PowerProductPackage.log
3.) Clear up enough on hard drive by moving or deleting files. The amount of space needed for the current version of MicroStation is 6.3 GB. Recommendation is to free up 7 GB if possible.
4.) Restart the installation
Workarounds
Choose another location to install program with more space.
