Become more productive by displaying frequently accessed tools across all ribbon tabs in the MicroStation CONNECT Edition. Switching between ribbon tabs can happen when needing to set Attributes such as the active Level or Line Weight. “Pinning” a ribbon group makes the tools in that group display persistently across all ribbon tabs in the current workflow, or across all workflows. |

To “pin” a ribbon group, use the following steps:
- Place your cursor in a blank area with the ribbon group.
- Right-click to display the right-click menu.
- Select Pin/Unpin Group.
- Choose a pin option from the following:
- Pin to all workflows: Pins to all available workflows
- Pin to current workflow: Pins to just the active workflow
A pinned ribbon group will display the pin icon. The pinned group is now displayed, regardless of the active ribbon tab.
Once pinned, the display of the available tools within the pinned ribbon group may then be modified, with each ribbon tab having its own unique display for the pinned set of tools.
To modify what tools are displayed within a pinned ribbon group in a selected ribbon tab, right-click within the ribbon group, enabling/disabling the display of tools buttons as desired. This can then be repeated for the pinned ribbon group in any other ribbon tab.
To “unpin” a ribbon group:
- Right-click within the ribbon group.
- From the right-click menu select Pin/Unpin Group.
- Pick Unpin.
