When I export my design files to Google Earth Pro (File>Export>Visualization File Types>Google Earth), extraneous placemarks are present in the outputted KML file.
Solution #1 - Change settings directly in Google Earth
1. After exporting to KML/KMZ, open it in Google Earth. Right-click on the KML/KMZ file in the "Places" section and select Properties
2. Select "Share Style" within the "Style, Color" tab
3. Click on the "Icon" button as shown
4. Select "No Icon" and then OK. There will no longer be an icon shown in the top left of the dialog.
5. Save changes in Google Earth. You might consider creating a new .kmz file altogether or saving to My Places for future use.
Solution #2 - Change Google Earth Settings Format to "KML and Collada"
In MicroStation CONNECT, before exporting, navigate to Google Earth Settings (Drawing Workflow>Utilities tab>Geographic Ribbon Group>Google Earth Settings). Change the Format to "KML and Collada" and then try exporting the design file to Google Earth again.
