During the installation of MicroStation CONNECT Edition the Companion Feature ' Descartes ' was selected by mistake, which may lead to unwanted usage being reported. This article advises how the Descartes Companion Feature can be removed.
Steps to Accomplish
- Close MicroStation CONNECT Edition
- Open the Operating System Control Panel (Start > Windows System > Control Panel)
- In the Programs settings select 'Uninstall a Program' to open the 'Programs and Features' dialog
- Scroll through the list of installed applications and select 'MicroStation CONNECT Edition' and then select 'Change' to launch the MicroStation CONNECT Edition installer

- Uncheck 'Descartes' and select Modify.

- Select 'Yes' on the 'User Account Control' dialog


- To verify it has been uninstalled successfully, open a file in MicroStation CONNECT Edition and expand the list of available Workflows, the 'Reality Modeling' Workflow containing 'Descartes' should be missing.
