Problem
How to change level symbology of nested reference files.
How to change Level Attributes (such as ByLevel or Override (Level Symbology) style, weight and color and Global Display) of nested reference file.
Level symbology is grayed out in Level manager.
Solution
Set MS_LEVEL_EDIT_NESTED_ATTACHMENT_LEVELS = 1
In V8 2004 Edition, the ability change nested reference attachment level settings has been added.
Note
To allow your master file to keep the changes to your overrides, make sure that level overrides setting is ON.
A dgn file that is converted from dwg to dgn, by default, will have this setting set to OFF.
To enable saving, enter the keyin:
set refleveloverrides on
Best have that entry followed by: File>Save Settings, so that this setting is kept for next editing sessions of your master file as well.
You may want to check that setting in your seed file(s) as too.
