Problem

How can you force line weights OFF/ON each time you plot no matter how the view attributes are set?

 

Solution

In MicroStation 8.5.2.x/8.9.4.x: Configuration>Customize>Menu Bar>File>Print --> print dialog print attibutes lineweights off (or "on")
In MicroStation 8.11: Create a Print Style in a dgnlib, set the line weights value and make default print style.
