This training unit introduces PLAXIS 2D LE to perform 2D limit equilibrium slope analysis of soil or rock slopes using either saturated and unsaturated analysis. The training unit covers a basic introduction to the user interface, overview of soil models, loading, supports, how to read results and some examples.
This second training unit introduces PLAXIS 3D LE to perform 3D limit equilibrium slope analysis of soil or rock slopes using either saturated and unsaturated analysis. The training unit covers a basic introduction to the user interface, overview of soil models, loading, supports, different search methods, Muli Plane Analysis (MPA), and how to read results and some examples.
Unit 3 introduces seepage analysis for PLAXIS LE (2D/3D). The pore pressure field can have a big influence on the stability, so it is important to set up a proper seepage analysis. This training explains how to model this, define the hydraulic conductivity, set up boundary conditions, and how to read results and some examples.
In Unit 4 we will introduce Conceptual modelling using PLAXIS Designer. PLAXIS Designer is an easy-to-use application for building 3D conceptual models that can help you overcome the challenges of merging and analyzing data. We will cover creating 3D conceptual models, producing visually appealing models, and several ways of importing data.
