Unable to delete your point cloud?

Problem

User has a DGN file with some point clouds attached.
Due to, for example, replacement of hardware the point clouds are moved to a different location, so they are no longer being referenced/displayed in the DGN file.

Normally the point clouds can be detachted and re-attached from their new location.
But this time when trying to detach the point clouds, MicroStation's Message Center responds with "No elements found"

Solution

Open the Point Clouds tool and select the point cloud(s) showing in red.
Use a right mouse click to open the options menu (see below) and select the Element Properties tool.

In the Extended section, Locked, change the label to Unlocked (see below)

This will unlock all selected point clouds and now they can be detached

If the Locked option is greyed out (see below) the reason could be that the point cloud is part of a reference attached to the project.

In this case, it is necessary to select the file that includes the Point Cloud from the References menu->Right click on it-> select "Exchange" option.

Open the Point Cloud menu-> select the Point Cloud-> select "Detach" command.

Select "Go to Previous View Group"
