It is been observed that this issue will occur for most if not all applications that run off the CONNECT Edition platform (i.e. MicroStation PowerDraft CE, Bentley View CE, OpenRoads Designer CE, etc.)

Solution

Note: Kindly contact your Antivirus vendor and request for details on threats, security issues reported on Bentley Products.
Share the data by logging a Service Request so our Support team can review them.
Do also share the Event logs - check video.

This appears to be caused by an antivirus blocking the program (SentinelOne anti-virus).

To remedy the issue, try the following:

1.  Launch the program from the executable file (MicroStation.exe) and run as administrator:
2.  Disable Sentinel Agent and try launching MicroStation.
3.  If at all possible, try temporarily uninstalling the antivirus program and run MicroStation
4.  Configure Exclusions and Include them in SentinelOne Policies

Add the following files/folders to the antivirus exclusions
C:\Program Files\Bentley\MicroStation CONNECT Edition\MicroStation\MicroStation.exe
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Bentley Shared\CONNECTION Client\LicService\Bentley.Licensing.LicenseTool.exe
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Bentley Shared\CONNECTION Client\Bentley.Connect.Client.exe
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Bentley Shared\CONNECT Advisor\Bentley.Connect.Advisor.Service.exe
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Bentley Shared\CONNECT Advisor\Bentley.Connect.Advisor.Api.dll

For MicroStation 2023 use the following path
C:\Program Files\Bentley\MicroStation 2023\MicroStation\microstation.exe
