Table Column and Row headings missing when trying to Edit

Problem Description

When I select a Table to edit its contents, the Table outline highlights but no column or row headings appear and I am unable to edit the cells within. Why?



Solution

Check to see if the Table has been locked for edit. To unlock, perform these steps:
  1. Open the Properties Dialog
  2. Select the Table
  3. Expand the Properties ‘Extended‘ section and change the Locked: property to Unlocked.
  4. The Table can now be edited.


Also check when selecting the Table using the Element Selection tool that 'Disable Handles' is not active in the Tool Settings dialog
