Overview
A Dashboard card is the building block of all of the information visibility within the Dashboards module. These Cards are configurable to display many types of useful information within a quickly reviewable and easily digestible overview format. This article will review creation and editing of Dashboard Cards. For information regarding the creation and editing of Dashboards, visit the Dashboards Module article.
After creating a new Dashboard, the user can customize this Dashboard with user-defined Dashboard Cards. To create a new card, the user can click the icon within the upper left corner of the screen to begin customizing a new card. Upon adding a new Card, a placeholder card will be added to the Dashboard, and the user will be given the first set of configuration options for the card, "Card Type" and "Card Title". "Card Title" allows the user to name the card. "Card Type" will be discussed further below. Multiple cards can be added to a single Dashboard.
"Card Type" is a dropdown list the user will use to make a selection. Below is a list of the options available for "Card Type" selection, dictating the data presented in that card.
Alert Summary | Asset Location |
Associated Documents | Camera Device Photos |
Clustering Plot | Connection Summary |
Correlation Plot | Device Summary |
Graph | Observation List |
Project Info | Sensor Alerts |
Sensor Events | Sensor Summary |
Statistics Values Table | Thread Diagnostics |
Depending on "Card Type" selection, additional configuration options may be required. Below are examples of some of those configuration steps. After configuration of the card, select "Save" icon above the card configuration box to retain the changes. If you have questions about any card configuration options, please reach out to Bentley support.
Within the My Dashboard view, click on the button in the upper right of the screen. The user can then quickly and efficiently click between Cards in order to change any configuration of the Cards and add or remove cards. Click "Save" in the upper right portion of the screen at the end of the Card editing session to maintain the changes the user has made.
