Overview
The XY Plot card combines the basic functionality of the Graphing Modules X/Y plot with the simple interface and quick-view functionality of the Dashboards module. This page will guide the user in configuring an XY Plot card.
To create a new card, the user can click the icon within the upper left corner of the screen to begin customizing a new card. Upon adding a new Card, a placeholder card will be added to the Dashboard, and along the right side of the screen the user will be given the first set of configuration options for the card, "Card Type" and "Card Title".
1. From the "Card Type" dropdown list, select "XY Plot".
2. "Card Title" allows the user to name the card.
3. Sensor Selection- Click the blue gear icon to select the sensor. After clicking the icon, a pop-up selection window will appear, illustrated below. The user can select one sensor from the available sensors list. After making the sensor selection, click the "Done" icon in the lower right of the pop-up window.
4. Axis Options- Once the sensor is selected, the XY card can be configured starting with the Axis.
The axis tab allows the user to control the following:
A. Configure the displayed metric on the X-axis (Y-axis for Shape Arrays configured horizontally).
B. Change the displayed metric's unit on the X-axis
C. Change sensor configuration settings for the data output on the card. For more information about these configuration settings, please visit the Measurand Shape Array article.
D. Change units for the elevation axis (Y-axis if configured vertically).
5. Display Options- The Display tab allows the user to control elements of the XY plot card.
The axis tab allows the user to control the following:
A. Select the plot type for the XY card (currently limited to polyline (2D)).
B. Toggle and change X-axis limits for the graph.
C. Set the number of time intervals to be displayed.
D. Apply a graph legend for the XY plot.
E. If any alerts are set up for the graphed sensor, alert thresholds can be toggled on/off to be displayed on the XY card.
6. Once these selections are made, the placeholder card will be replaced by the "Alert Summary" card, as illustrated below. Click the blue "Save" button in the upper right to save the card to the Dashboard, or to immediately configure another card to the Dashboard click the "+Card" button on the upper left.
Once the card is configured, a number of additional options become available. This section will cover those options.

2. Kebab Options- The kebab icon in the upper right opens a download options tab with several download format options.
3. Full-screen mode- Opens the graph in full-screen mode within the current browser window.
4. Hover- Hovering over a point allows the user to see specific details about that reading.
After several cards have been created, a user may need to move or resize cards to best visualize data and information. Within Dashboard edit mode, the user can move or resize cards. After making any changes, be sure to save the changes by clicking the blue "Save" icon on the upper right corner of the Dashboard.
