The creation of a MicroStation CONNECT Edition ‘ Deployment image ‘ follows similar principles to that of installing MicroStation. The main difference being that rather than installing it creates a package of files that includes pre-requisite pack or set of packages, Installation Location, Feature, shortcuts and Configuration settings .
Typically, Deployment Images should be created on a Server in a location accessible to all. A Deployment Image does not analyze the system on which it is created. It simply saves all the components for installation. That said be sure to check out the articles under New Installations (Single Users) for information on downloading, installing and troubleshooting tips.
It is also important to remember that during the creation of a Deployment Image any Installation / Configuration paths defined should also existing on the machine(s) it which it is to be deployed too.
Please also check with your Site Administrator or IT department before creating any Deployment Images as they may already have created them and can provide access.
