License Issues - Finding the Correct System


GeoStudio currently supports different licensing systems, which typically are defined either the first time the application opens or by going to the user profile in the top right corner of the GeoStudio window and selecting 'Change License System'.

The window to select the license looks like this:

Provided that the correct license system was selected, you should be able to identify the status of your licenses. To do so, go to your profile (top right) and select License Management. A dialogue will appear showing the current status. This dialogue is different depending on the license system.

For Bentley accounts (i.e., E365 (SELECT), Virtuosity) you will see:

*Please note, the Bentley Licensing Tool will always display a "GeoStudio" entitlement if the CONNECTION Client is installed.  This is a general access entitlement that does not provide access to any GeoStudio features.  It is included for compatibility with GeoStudio's legacy license system.  If you have commercial entitlements for GeoStudio, those will also be listed (e.g. GeoStudio 2D Advanced).
