Problem Description
How to control and retain the same View Attributes for a reference attachment to match the active file?
Example Case - You have created some hatch patterning and are using Level Overrides and ByLevel Symbology in a design file. You attached this particular file as a reference attachment to an active file with Level Overrides set to OFF. The hatch patterning appeared as a different color.
Steps to Resolve
To change View Attributes of Reference
- Open up to the Reference dialog box, select the reference attachment, right click to open to the Reference Presentation, or click on the current setting in the Presentation column

- In the Reference Presentation dialog box, check and change the following:
- Toggle the Display Style from: (From Parent) to: Wireframe (to allow for the pattern to be displayed)
- Check ON: Use View flags (Enables and disables the view attributes. When checked, the view attributes can be turned ON and OFF.)
- Turn ON >Level Overrides and Patterns
- Click OK to close dialog
- Save Settings
