When starting PLAXIS you may receive a warning that you do not have the proper licence (or entitlement) to open a PLAXIS model or the trial license has expired.
This could be caused by the fact that the setting for the appropriate licence/entitlement is deactivated or the incorrect licence/entitlement is selected.
When starting PLAXIS 2D or PLAXIS 3D, PLAXIS, by default, shows a window with the activated licences for this session:

Depending on the current license configuration you may have to activate other entitlements manually.
Via the Configure licences option, you can change the selected licence/entitlements, as shown below:

You can choose not to see this startup window (Figure 1) with the activated and deactivated licences anymore when the option to Show on Startup is disabled.
To allow for the Licensing information window to appear again at startup, please activate the option via the following menu item in PLAXIS Input:
Options > Licencing information > Show on startup

To access the Licence configuration, start a new project in PLAXIS Input, and go to the Help menu. Here choose the option Licence configuration..., as shown, below.

Search for the keywords "Licensing configuration" in the Windows Start and locate the relevant option for your installed PLAXIS version.
For example, start typing "PLAXIS 2D 2024.1 Licensing configuration" for PLAXIS 2D 2024.1 version.

Note that if PLAXIS is open any change will be applied after restarting all PLAXIS applications.
