Asset Configuration Page Overview


Overview

The Asset Configuration Page holds a number of tools that administrators can use to set up and manage an Asset. This article will review those options and provide links to more comprehensive articles written for each section. The Asset Configuration page can be accessed by using the "Configure" tool icon in the lower left of the screen.

 

 

This article will cover the following elements of the Asset Configuration page:

1. General Information

The General Information page allows for configuration options related to the Asset.

 

1. Name

User can configure the name of the asset here. The name will be displayed as such on the asset list as well as the asset select drop-down. 

2. Location

Location displays the latitude and longitude of the asset and will be the default view of the asset in the iTwin viewer. The input will act as the center of the asset on the map. GPS location will also be used as a reference for the weather widget.

Note: The latitude and longitude can not be manually entered and must be set using the Asset extent map tool (7)

3. Cover Picture

User can upload an image with the file types jpeg., jpg., and png.. The maximum size of the image is 5 MB. The cover picture is present on the asset selection page as well as the home page. 

4. Time Zone

Allows user to set the time zone of the asset location.

5. Data center location

Allows user to enter where the data center of the asset is, as it may differ from the asset location.

6. Team Member Management

Dictates where the project allows members outside of the IMS user database.

7. Asset Extent

A map tool that allows the user to draw the extent of the asset on a world map. The input here will be reflected in the location latitude and longitude field. 

*note: Users must enter a map location when creating an asset.

 

 Configuration Tiles

The following sections will provide an overview of the Configuration tiles available in the middle of the window.

 

 

2. Users and Roles

Allows the invitation of users and the editing of their roles and permissions throughout the asset.

3. As-Built Reality Models

Allows users with the appropriate permissions to associate As-built Reality Models to the asset.

4. As-Designed Models

Allows users to create iModels and connect them to the asset.

5. Billing and Tokens

Allows users to monitor asset token usage, start and end date, data usage, and module licensing. Only Admin-level permission will see this section.

6. API Key

The exposed API key can be copied to be used for API connections.
