Overview
EDS alerts are a feature available for Loadsensing Tilt90 E-model tilt sensors connected to iTwin IoT via a CMT Edge connection. This article will provide the user with an overview of the EDS alert within iTwin IoT
EDS alerts can only be used with Loadsensing tiltmeters specifically designed to utilize EDS. Once tiltmeters are installed, EDS thresholds must then be configured within the Worldsensing Connectivity Management Tool.
Once the configuration is complete, if the CMT to iTwin IoT connection is already active, the EDS alert will automatically be generated in iTwin IoT's Alerts Module, as seen below. If the connection to iTwin IoT has not already been completed, please reference the correct CMT Connection article for your connection type within the API or MQTT Connection folder.
While some EDS alert settings, like alert thresholds, are locked from editing in iTwin IoT and must be changed in Worldsensing CMT, there are a few options that can be changed in the iTwin IoT alert editor.
1. Navigate into the alert by clicking the alert name.
2. Click the "Edit Alert" pencil icon.
The alert options that can be changed will be available in the "Edit Alert" page. These options will be explained below the following image.
3. Disable/Enable Alert- Allows the user to turn the alert on or off in iTwin IoT. This will not impact and function of the alert in Worldsensing CMT.
4. Alert Name- Change the auto-generated name of the alert.
5. Alert Priority- Change the priority of the alert.
6. Alert Trigger Actions- Alert trigger actions allow the user to set an automated action if an alert is triggered. Clicking the "Add new action" icon will open a window with dropdown with five configureable action options that will automatically be completed when an alert triggers. The list below outlines the five action options.
