Problem
Text, Dimensions, etc. scale when attached as a reference.
When a Model containing Text, Dimensions, etc. is attached as a reference to another model, these elements in the reference are too big and are scaled up. When opened on their own, the elements display normally.
Solution
The text when placed in the original file has been placed with the Annotation Scale Lock switch on. This means any annotative elements placed with this lock on will respond to a change in annotation scale in the active master file model.
To set the reference text back to desired (normal) scale, this setting must be turned off.
- Select the reference in the References Dialog
- Turn off the Use Active Annotation Scale toggle
- This can be found in the bottom right of the References Dialog Box (the icon has a large 'A' with a ruler underneath)
