This article covers the release timing new features and product enhancements for the iTwin IoT software product. Beginning September 2025, Feature Release notes can now be found in the product.

 

Getting to Feature Release Notes

 

To access the Feature Release notes within iTwin IoT, click the Release Notes icon on the widget bar in the upper right of the screen. 

 

 

A window will open, allowing you to scroll through the release notes from most recent to oldest.

• Added image view as an independent widget to iTwin viewer.
• Styling changes made to iTwin IoT user interface.
• Updated the Thread diagnostic card in the Dashboards module.

 

October 2024 Features and Enhancements

• Added "Show Timestamp" option to camera section in reports.
• Adjusted algorithms to allow faster report generation when graph sections are included.
• Adjusted behavior where mouse scroll in SIB controls, mouse scrolls no longer affect values in input fields.
• Resolved issue where SAA through Loadsensing was not appearing in SAA export template dropdown.

 

September 2024 Features and Enhancements

• Added a tool to Import Sensemetrics project connections to iTwin IoT
• Enhanced Regions to dynamically report the status of sensors that exist inside a region, instead of requiring the user to place sensors on the surface of the region

• Performance improvements for the File Import module.
• Enhanced sensor markers and device markers, with new hover-tooltips and click-tooltips.
• Added support for displaying "ArcGIS Feature" layers in Map Layers widget.

• Added year picker and seconds picker in digital twin viewer's timeline picker.
• Added New Regions feature for demarcating areas of interest with virtual 3D boxes and associating sensors to them.

December 2023 Features and Enhancements

• Ability to filter sensors by Connection, Device, and Alerts within Digital Twin module Sensor window.

• Unsaved changes in Dashboards Module result in pop-up confirmation window opening prior to navigating away from Dashboard.
