Assets and Projects

Create an Asset iTwin to reference a property or piece of infrastructure, e.g. a building, bridge, or a piece of equipment that requires its own digital twin.

Create a Project iTwin to reference the work being done to produce a deliverable, e.g. design, engineering or construction projects.

New Asset

There are two ways to create an asset, depending on if your asset is a child to a portfolio or not.

Asset within a portfolio

In the Spatial landing page, click on the Asset button.

In the Asset panel, click on the "+" button.

The Create new asset panel appears.

Number - Name -  Description: File in all the required fields such as Asset number, Asset name. The Description is not mandatory.

Image cover: An Asset image cover can be selected. If defined, the image will be displayed as a thumbnail in the Asset Home page. Maximum file size is 5MB.

Extent: You can also define the asset extent by placing a shape surrounding your asset's location.

Data center location: Select the desired Data center location. Note that this cannot be modified once the asset is created.

"I aknowledge allowing adding external users to this iTwin". Check this mandatory toggle.

"Copy users & groups from parent iTwin - XYZ": Check this toggle if you want the users defined for your portfolio to access your new asset.

Click Create to continue.

Asset independent from a portfolio

From the iTwin picker, select Create.

In the Register iTwin panel, select "Asset" at the top center.

Number - Name -  Description: File in all the required fields such as Asset number, Asset name. The Description is not mandatory.

Image cover: An Asset image cover can be selected. If defined, the image will be displayed as a thumbnail in the Asset Home page. Maximum file size is 5MB.

Extent: You can also define the asset extent by placing a shape surrounding your asset's location.

Data center location: Select the desired Data center location. Note that this cannot be modified once the asset is created.

"I aknowledge allowing adding external users to this iTwin". Check this mandatory toggle.

Click Create to continue.

Configure Asset

Once you have created your asset, you can modify the configuration at any time by clicking on the "Configure" button located on the bottom left side of the iTwin Experience page.

Edit Asset

At any time, you can edit the asset by clicking on the Asset Contiguration page located on the iTwin Experience page and click on the Edit button.

Delete Asset

To delete an asset, go to the Asset Configuration page, click on the Edit button as described in the previous section and click on the Delete button.

From the iTwin picker, select Create.

Configure Project

Once you have created your project, you can modify the configuration at any time by clicking on the "Configure" button located on the bottom left side of the iTwin Experience page.

Edit Project

At any time, you can edit the projectby clicking on the Project Contiguration page located on the iTwin Experience page and click on the Edit button.

Delete Project

To delete a project go to the Project Configuration page, click on the Edit button as described in the previous section and click on the Delete button.
