A Portfolio is an organization-wide collection of digital twin data, easily accessible by internal and external stakeholders. They are great at visualizing all of your assets and on-going projects, and to provide easy-access for your stakeholders from a single, easy-to-use access point. The Portfolio creates a spatial first view of all your assets, along with any critical Reality, BIM or GIS data required by your users to complete their tasks.
But if you're just getting started with iTwin Experience with a few assets, you might not need them quite yet. That's why Portfolios are optional. They are there to provide added value for you and your stakeholders when you're ready, but they are not required to get started.
If you see a value in working with Portfolio, acces iTwin Experience application to create your first one, and follow the steps below.
If you don't plan working with Portfolios and prefer starting directly with Asset, go to the Assets and Projects section.
To create a Portfolio, acces iTwin Experience application and on the upper left side of the page, click on the "Search iTwin" field and then, click on "Create".
The "Create a new iTwin" page is displayed. Select "Portfolio".
