Dear Valued Bentley User,
As part of our global rationalization plan, our world-class product teams and Commercial Programs colleagues are working diligently to simplify our product portfolio—and clarify commercial offerings—by streamlining our offerings to help you advance in your work and improve your user experience.
To achieve this goal, Bentley has, therefore, made the difficult decision to end general availability for ContextCapture Editor effective September 1, 2023. However, we understand that many of you may still have projects that require the use of ContextCapture Editor features. Therefore, we’ve outlined different options below based on your subscription type to ensure you can continue your work.
For Virtuoso users, please note that you will be able to continue using ContextCapture Editor until the end of your current contract period, even if that contract expires after September 1. At your next contract renewal, ContextCapture Editor will no longer be part of your offer and you won’t have access to the product.
You can also bundle a subscription for our Reality Modeling WorkSuite and Descartes and receive a 50% discount thanks to our current sales campaign. Please discuss this option with a member of your account team before you make any purchases.
Special Note for E365 Subscribers:
Effective September 1, ContextCapture Editor will be removed from our Software Download Center. Users already running this application will be able to continue using it after the product deprecation date; however, you will not be able to download it again should it be removed from your desktop, nor will any new users be authorized to use it after September 1. E365 subscribers will be able to find all the functionalities of ContextCapture Editor in our Descartes product and will be charged based on the usage of this new product according to the cost associated with it in Bentley’s price book.
If you have any questions regarding this deprecation announcement, please contact Bentley Support or a member of your account team.
Sincerely,
Bentley Systems
