This is a solution to lock the Material to shapes so that it does not need material selection when inserting the shapes. The screenshot below shows the Material field is greyed out. This is so we can increase our productivity and minimize the chance of choosing the wrong material grade. This WIKI will guide you on how to do this.
4. Open the following file in Microsoft Access: C:\ProgramData\Bentley\ProStructures V8i Version\WorkSpace\ProStructures\Data\Shapes\Australia (the name of the Database you would like to edit for this example I am using Australian Database)
5. The Database will open and will show a list of Tables on the left side. Choose which table you would like to lock. In this example I will be using AS_UB
6. Notice the MATERIAL column is set to "3" which is the INDEX number of material 300+. With these settings. When you insert the shapes it will automatically get the value 300+
