How to Create a Deployment Image
- Open Windows Command Prompt and change the active directory to the location of the ProStructures installation executable file on your computer or network drive
- Input or copy\paste the executable's complete file name with extension followed by "/layout" (example shown below)

- The ProStructures layout creation wizard will then open

- (Optional) To do Companion Installations (Companion Feature or Companion Product) along with ProStructures, do the following:
- Turn on the check box for the desired Companion Installation.
- (Optional) Click Configure for the selected Companion Installation. The layout creation wizard displays the configuration settings for the selected Companion Installation.
- (Optional) Make the desired configuration settings and return to the layout creation wizard main page.
- (Optional) To make changes to the default ProStructures Configuration:
- Click the Configure button next to ProStructures CONNECT Edition. The Application Install Location page opens.

- To change the path where ProStructures is installed, click the Browse button next to the Application Path field and browse to the drive\folder where you want ProStructures to install to, then click OK.
- Click Next. The Configuration page opens.

- To change the path of Delivered Configuration, click the Browse button next to the Configuration Path field and browse to the drive\folder where you want to install the default Configuration, then click OK.
- To set up a Custom Configuration, select the Custom Configuration (plus Delivered Configuration) radio button identified below. Click the Browse button next to the Custom Configuration field and browse to the drive\folder for your Custom Configuration and click OK.

- Click Next. The Deployment Image Settings page opens.

- Change the deployment image setting as needed. By default, Passive UI Mode is selected. The settings affect the installation user interface for the deployed image in the following ways:
- Full UI Mode - Displays all installer windows and allows for the modification of configuration settings when you install using the deployment image.
- Passive UI Mode - Installs the application in passive mode from the deployment image.
- In this mode, the installation wizard and the progress dialog are displayed but the installation takes place automatically. The installer uses the options and configurations defined when the deployment image was created.
- No UI Mode - Installs the application automatically in silent mode (the installation user interface is not displayed) using the options and configurations defined when the deployment image was created.
- To change the deployment image location, click the Browse button next to the Deployment Image Location path and browse to the drive\folder you want the product to be installed in, then click OK.
- Click Next. The Features page opens.

- In the Feature list, turn on or off the features to be included in the deployment image, as desired.
- Click Next. The Datasets page opens.

- Turn on or off any Datasets you desire to have included or excluded from the deployment image.
- Click Done and you will return to the layout creation wizard’s main menu.
- Click Layout.
- The application will begin downloading all necessary files to the selected deployment image location.
- Click Finish to exit the ProStructures layout creation wizard
The deployment image is created at the selected location
To install ProStructures on a computer using the deployment image, navigate to the location of the deployment image on that computer and double-click on the "Setup_ProStructuresx64_10.XX.XX.XXX.exe" file indicated below

Note that the name of the file indicated above - specifically the version number - will change depending on the build that the deployment image was created for.
