Problem Description

Model is created in Metric Unit system. So the dimensions of  the output KISS file should be generated in Metric, But after generating KISS files all dimensions came as Imperial Unit system.

Steps to resolve

Please find below steps to get the correct KISS file with needed unit system.

1. When chosen for KISS file generation, system, will ask you to select the objects and then after selection of objects it will come up with KISS data Export Dialog.

2. Go to Part Name tab and in Part Name tab you will find the Format of output for different objects.

So in this tab there is Format is set for output, how the dimension should come. One example of Format is

By default Format is like ($Tif3)x($Wif3) - where "i" stands for Imperial and "f" stands for Architectural as shown in the above image.

So to make it metric unit system, this should be like ($Tmd2)x($Wmd2) which means, m= Metric and d= Decimal.

So in this way one can convert the Unit System for KISS file output.
