Problem

When one tries to check option of "solid kernel" for a bent shape or spiral shape it automatically changes the shape orientation by 90 degrees.

To avoid this issue please follow the steps below which show the workaround.

Solution

1. While placing the shape, revert the dimensions of section for e.g. Section 60x40x2.Revert the dimension of section this section 60x40x2 to 40x60x2 in the shape placement dialogue from Key tab.

2. Also, one can change the dimensions of already placed shape to 40x60x2 from properties dialogue as shown below.

3. After this, when you turn on the solid kernel option, this will rotate the shape, but you will get desired orientation of shape in the model i.e. shape will return to its original dimensions i.e. 60x40x2

In this way by exchanging the length and width dimensions of the section you can avoid this issue.
