Before you start

• When installing or uninstalling this product, you must be logged on with Administrator rights. Note that ProStructures V8i does not support Windows 2000. For more information, see the Installation Requirements
• Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 are supplied with .NET Framework 4.5, whereas ProStructures V8i requires .NET Framework 3.5. Hence, if you are installing ProStructures V8i on Windows 8 or Windows 10, you need to enable the .NET Framework 3.5 in Control Panel. For details, refer to the Enabling the .NET Framework 3.5 in Control Panel and Troubleshooting sections in Installing the .NET Framework 3.5 on Windows 8, 8.1 or 10
• When installing ProStructures V8i on Microsoft Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 Operating System, the User Access Control (UAC) setting must to be set to “Never notify” to properly register certain vba components. Be sure to return User Access Control (UAC) to its previous setting when the installation is complete.  For details, refer to Adjust User Account Control settings in Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10
• ProStructures V8i requires software libraries (DLLs) that are delivered with Microsoft's Internet Explorer version 6.0 (or greater). Make sure IE6.0 or later is installed on your computer before you install ProStructures V8i. You do not need to change your default Web browser if it is currently something other than Internet Explorer. Refer to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.htm for more information regarding Internet Explorer.
• It is highly recommended that you close any programs and disable any antivirus software prior to installing this software. Be sure to turn on antivirus software after installation is complete
• ProStructures V8i *should not* be installed on the same workstation as an existing ProStructures V8i v08.11.xx Technology Preview (“beta”) release(s). Installing ProStructures V8i over an existing ProStructures V8i v8.11.xx installation can cause incompatibilities and data loss. You must uninstall the beta release, and then install the commercial release.
• ProStructures SS6 R2 (08.11.11.207) is not an update release to SS6 R1 (08.11.11.161), hence it can coexist alongside previous SS6 installation on the same system.
• It is advisable to backup any customized files before uninstalling any existing ProStructures version.
• ProStructures is only upward compatible, dwg files are automatically converted/upgraded to the new version, once upgraded, ProStructures objects will no longer display correctly if opened on any prior version of the software. Therefore it is advisable to make a backup copy if opening the file in its earlier version is anticipated.

To install this Product

1. In an Explorer window, double-click the ProStructures V8i setup executable.
   The ProStructures V8i Installer dialog opens.

The files are extracted

1. From the dropdown select AutoCAD_64, then click Start Setup
2. Select the language to be used by the installation wizard, then click ok

The End-User License Agreement page opens.

1. After reading the license agreement, select the "I accept the terms of the License Agreement" option if you understand and agree to the License Agreement Terms and Conditions. Click Cancel if you decline the License Agreement Terms and Conditions.
   Note that agreeing to the license agreement is required in order to install the product.
2. (Optional) Click Print to print the license agreement.
3. Click Next in the License Agreement page
4. Select all desired language packs to be installed, then Click Next
5. Select all desired localization data sets to be installed, then Click Next
6. Select AutoCAD version, then Click Next
7. (Optional) To change the folder where the product will be installed, click the Browse button.
   In the Browse for Folder page that opens, browse to the drive and folder you want to install the product, then click OK.
8. Click Next in the Choose Destination Location page
9. Click Next in the Welcome to the ProStructures V8i Selectseries 6 installation for AutoCAD 2017 page
10. Same as step #7 and #8
11. (Optional) change desktop shortcut name, then click Next
12. Click Finish to exit the ProStructures V8i Setup Wizard.

The ProStructures V8i (Selectseries 6) for AutoCAD installation is complete.

NOTE: If you uninstall this product through Add/Remove Programs, any files that you created subsequent to the installation of the product will not be deleted. It is recommended that you use Windows Explorer to locate and delete these files, if you so desire.
