Please advise how to place a curved chamfer on flat bar. It appears that PS_Modify command will only place a straight cut on flat bar even if you select to cut about a curved polyline (refer to model attached). The reason for not using plate in this instance is because I want to place the curved chamfer on an 8 meter long bar and shortening does not appear work when producing the 2D details for long plates.
Generally the Chamfer can not be done in Flat bar by Chamfer option exist in Element Modification Tool. It allows the chamfer only in Plates, not in Flat Bar. To do chamfer in Flat bar we need to do it in other way. Follow the below steps to perform this.
1. First draw by Smart Line, a closed chamfered area on the Flat Bar, which need to be removed.
2. Open the Pro structure Plate tool and create a plate using button, by selecting the poly line drawn by Smart line.
3. Open the Element Modification tool and remove that unwanted area by cutting through Boolean Subtraction button.
4. The plate will be cut as per the required shape.
