The representation of the tools in ribbons is done column by column.
Therefore it is good to prepare the function groups in Excel.
Alternatively, you can also work with panels and create a panel for each line.
Then the sorting as described here can also be omitted.
The columns A and B are for the different sorting.
A is the standard sorting to see the tools in three blocks there each block represents a line in the tool group.
So 1 - 7 is line one and so on.
For inserting the tools in the ribbon customization the sorting needs to follow column B.
The order of column B is the succesive order per line.
So first in Block 1, first in Block 2, first in Block 3, second in Block 1 and so on.
To use the sorting in Excel directly for column B just scroll to the left so that column B is out of display.
This is the actual order for inserting tools in the ribbon customization.
It is also handy to have another column to plan the shortcut keys.
For inserting the tools in the ribbon customization the sorting needs to follow column B.
The order of column B is the succesive order per line.
So first in Block 1, first in Block 2, first in Block 3, second in Block 1 and so on.
