The assignment of the keys, which become visible when pressing the Alt key, takes place in the lower area.
For this, a command must be marked.

Here it is best to make the same input for both fields, so that the command calls also work without having to press Alt first.

The most used commands should get the shortest and easy to remember abbreviations and these should occur only once within a tool group.

When creating the PS_compact tool groups, it happened several times that the abbreviations could not be saved.
Especially with used DropDowns.
Here the following helped:
Create a new temporary tool group Temp.
Insert the problematic DropDown or a command into the Temp group.
Then make the shortcut assignment and save.
Now delete the problematic entry and drag and drop the copy to the correct position.
