Overview
When creating a new model/file you can choose a Seed file to use. The Seed file helps you to start with some standards/settings saved within a seed file.
ProStructures CONNECT Edition out of the box comes with multiple Seed files which you can be used as a basis and then later on create your own.
MicroStation distinguishes between 2D and 3D models. For ProStructures, you will need a 3D seed model. So it is important for you to start with one of our ProStructures seed files.
Steps to be follow
Please follow the below steps to achieve this.
1. The location for all seed files is defined by the config variable MS_SEEDFILES. In the Expansion section, we can find all the locations for seed files.
2. Below is the path where you can find different types of ProStructures seed files.
Path: C:\Program Files\Bentley\ProStructures CONNECT Edition\ProStructures\Default\Seed
3. The default ProStructures seed file location is defined by the config variable PS_SEEDFILES.
The same we can see while creating new file in Seed section. The Metric3d.dgn seed file is by default getting selected because this is defined by the config variable MS_DESIGNSEED in application.cfg file
