Overview

Users who often use certain key-ins may need direct ribbon shortcut for that particular Key-in. In this case, direct shortcut will be useful and reduce user’s time.

In this wiki, we will learn how to create the ribbon shortcut for ProStructures Key-ins with an Example.

Method

Follow the steps below to add the direct ribbon shortcut for key-in commands. For demonstration, we are going to create a shortcut for the Key-in ‘ProStructure Reload References’

1. In the ribbon, right-click and click on the option ‘Customize Ribbon’.

2. Now, click the group and subgroup under which you want to add the shortcut. ( Refer to the image below)

3. After the selection, click on the option ‘New button’ for addition for a new shortcut.

4. Here, set the label, Description, suitable icon, and most importantly Key-in which is here I have set as ‘ProStructure Reload References’.

5. Once done then click on the apply button and this will show the shortcut on the ribbon (at the specified group of tools) and clicking on this shortcut will activate the key-in.
