Problem

How to set a concrete hatch / pattern to an object while detailing or creating 2D drawings in the drawing model for ProConcrete ?

Solution

1) Select the object at hand and then open its Properties. In the Properties dialog box, set the template of this object to ProStructure\Concrete. As this template contains the details of pattern and related graphics that need to be associated to the ProConcrete object.

2) After this, navigate to the Explorer tool and expand the Element Templates to edit the properties of the Concrete property that we have just assigned to the object in the first step.

3) Here, on opening the Properties for this Concrete Template, you need to set-up the values for Transparency and Area Pattern Scale for correct display of the concrete hatch / pattern in the 2D drawing model / sheet model.

4) Once you have set the values as required, you can open the drawing / sheet model in your DGN file and it is observed that the ProConcrete Object is now displayed with the required concrete pattern / hatch.

NOTE – One must place a Section Callout (create a Dynamic View) that includes the interior section of the object for the hatch pattern to display correctly.
