Overview

The In-Drawing Partlist gathers data from the shapes and elements in the model or 2D drawing and creates a partlist that is
placed instantly at a user defined point in the model or drawing itself. These partlists are customizable and can be edited to
suite one’s requirement.

This document will guide you on how to generate partlist, as well as their placement in the model.

Method

1) While in the model, select the orientation to Top View and then click on Steel > Data/Reporting > Drawing Partlist.

2) Now left click on a point in the model where you want to place your partlist. The partlist will be placed and along with
it the 'Drawing Partlist’ dialog box will appear. Check the below settings and say OK.

3) Now left click on the partlist that was just created and select ‘PS Properties’ and then click on the ‘Line Styles’ tab.
Then click on the Folder icon to create a new branch folder (in this case – My Folder), under which you now need to
create a new format entry in the list by clicking the New Format Entry option (in this case – My_Partlist_Style_01).

4) Now go to the layout tab and select the style you have just created as shown in the picture below and then select
‘Change the current style’ button to edit its properties.

5) Now in the ‘Format’ dialog box, you can adjust the settings as per your requirement and then click on the
‘Append a style’ button to add in a column in the partlist.

6) In the ‘Column  settings’  dialog box, you can click on any of the available field names from the right side and the edit
the properties of the column as required, then click on OK.
In a similar manner, you can add multiple columns and control its display.

7) To add a footer note in the partlist table, you can do so by clicking on the ‘Edit of Footnotes’  button which will open the
    ‘Footer’  dialog box.
Here you can control what you want to display in the footer section as well as its test size, text style & color.

On completing the footer settings say OK and then again say OK for the ‘Format’ dialog box.

8) Your partlist will now appear in the model as per the given settings.

In this manner, one can create In-Drawing partlists and customize it according to personal or organizational specifications.
