In V8i there was Project management dialog, where one can configure the folder locations like for Model files, Detail files, Partlist files, NC files etc. The same how these can be managed in CONNECT Edition
The Project Management feature is now deprecated in CONNECT Edition and replaced by Worksets, which does exactly the same storing specific user settings. User can manage the folder via Workset.
This document will explain how to create new Workset and how to manage the folders and sub folders.
1. When launched ProStructures CONNECT Edition, the first window that you see is the Work page. The Work page is also displayed when you close a file (). This window lists the recently opened Worksets. At the top you will find Workspace and Worksets with Dropdown which allows user to select Workspace and Workset. Clicking the Create WorkSet button at the bottom of the drop-down opens the Create WorkSet dialog from which you can create a new WorkSet.
Root Folder > Sets the path for the root WorkSet folder. Defines the _USTN_WORKSETROOT configuration variable. Clicking the Browse button next to the setting opens the Browse For Folder dialog from which you can select the root folder according to your choice.
Design files > Sets the path for storing the design files. Defines the MS_DEF configuration variable. Clicking the Browse button next to the setting opens the Browse For Folder dialog from which you can select the folder where you want to save your design files.
Standard files > Sets the path where dgnlib, cell, and other standard files of the WorkSet will be stored. Defines the _USTN_WORKSETSTANDARDS configuration variable. Clicking the Browse button next to the setting opens the Browse For Folder dialog from which you can select the folder where you want to save your standard files like Cell, Data, Dgnlib, Macros etc.
Standards Subfolders > Enter the sub folder names that you want to create in the Standards folder. This is the location defined by the Standards folder above. Multiple folder names should be separated by a comma or semicolon. Uses the USTN_WORKSETSTANDARDSUBDIRS configuration variable.
In addition to these there will be automatically created another Folder "Out" in which Partlist, NC, Details and all other output folder exist. See the following image showing the Workset created according to path defined in above image.
If you want another location for these folders then you can define your own path via Configuration variable. When you go to File > Settings > Configuration > Configuration Variable, you will get all the Configuration variables in a dialog where you can define the path according to your choice.
