Overview

Sometime you might have already created custom ACS in one  DGN made in any Bentley application, to be worked further or needed in another DGN, whether it is in same application or different Bentley applications.
In that case one can import that particular ACS from that DGN and as per selection it will then import those ACS. This document will explain how to import ACS created in Microstation to ProStructures CONNECT Edition.

Method

To explain this, let's take following custom ACS. These are created in Microstation.

So these custom ACS are created in Microstation. Now these needs to be imported into ProStructures. Please follow below steps to achieve this.

1. Launch ProStructures and navigate to Steel > Drawing Aids > ACS and click on the small arrow at bottom right corner to open the ACS dialog.

2. Click on the Import ACS button which will then allow you to select the DGN file. Browse the DGN where it is located and then say Open. This will open the Dialog with all the model files exist in that DGN. You can choose the DGN from which ACS to be imported. In this example we have only one 3D FIle.

3. Select the 3D File and say OK. It will now open up with all the ACS created in that file.

4. You can either select one or all the custom ACS to import. Select your needed ACS and then say OK. This will then import all the ACS as per your selection.

In this way you can import ACS from one DGN to another DGN irrespective of any Bentley applications via which those are created.
