Background

A macro is a group of elements that can be placed onto a project page in one step. They can consist of symbols, wires, text, and plain drawing elements. Macros are stored in catalogs. See [[promis-e Help file|promis-e Help]] for more information.

To start the Create Macro tool

* is used to denote a menu selection that is not necessary in some versions or platforms.

V8i SELECTseries 7 and 8

Select Manage > *Component Management > Create Macro


or

  1. Select multiple elements such as symbols, wires, or non-intelligent elements on the page.
  2. Right click the selection and choose Create Macro from the context menu that appears.
