Overview

When modeling irregular panels, there are instances that these are not orthogonally-arranged and may come in different orientation as per design requirements. Therefore, this document will guide you how to create these panel reinforcements.

Method

1. Open the Wall/Panel RebarSet tool which can accessed from Concrete workflow > Home > Rebar Placement > Wall/Panel RebarSet

2. Set the bar size, spacing, offsets and concrete cover as per your requirements for each of the panel in the Main Reinforcing tab.

3. At the joints, we can observed that some rebars are extended following a standard arrangement. To align these rebars to their corresponding concrete assignments, you need to uncheck the Extend Through Mitered Joints in the Options tab.

4.Lastly, use the Match and Extend tool to add rebars at the joints for bar continuity. This tool can be accessed from the drop-down menu of Single Rebar Distribution, Concrete workflow > Rebar Placement > Match and Extend. You may also opt to add user-defined end conditions on the lateral bars if you do not prefer additional bars.

Following the workflow discussed above, you can now reinforce panels in any configuration easily.
