In ProStructures for AutoCAD, sometimes, a user may get an issue while placing steel or concrete elements that they may not be able to place the shapes and get the error in the command as ‘Ps_Ins_Prof’ or ‘Unknown Command’ (refer the image below)
In this wiki, we will learn about steps to resolve this issue.
This issue occurs not because of the problem in the installation but, it is simply the shape placement dialog box which is not appearing on the screen.
To resolve this issue, the user needs to delete Temporary files which are located in the Program Files. Follow the steps mentioned below:
1. To delete the temp files, in the windows explorer, navigate to the following path: (Make sure appropriate WorkSpace is selected)
Path: C:\Program Files\Bentley\ProStructures CONNECT for AutoCAD\AutoCAD 2019\Localised\WorkSpaceName\Temp\UnitSystem
2. Delete all these . SVE files which are temporary files that will reset the position of all dialogs and then restart the program if it’s already open.
3. Now, try placing the steel shapes in the model and this will resolve your issue of not being able to place the Steel elements in the model.
