Problem Description

While importing the new variables the linkage between the existing variables and parametric solid is getting lost.

Reason

While importing the variables if Clear Existing option is turned on then all local variables will be deleted before new variables are imported from the file and because of this the linkage between the existing variables and parametric solid will get lost. 

Steps to resolve

Enter methods to resolve in this section.

1. While importing the variables, keep uncheck the box for Clear Existing option in the Import Variables dialog.

With this the linkage between the existing variables with parametric solid will not get lost.
