Overview

In ProSteel, we can add ProSteel objects in the various classification such Display and Area Classes to hide them while modelling for easy work. In the same way, we can also add the Smart Solids to the Display and Area classes. This wiki will guide you how to add Smart solids to the Display and Area classes.

Method

Please follow the below steps to achieve this.

1. Place a Smart Solid.

2. Here, we cannot see PS Properties option. For that, we need to create a Partlist for this element.

3. To create a Partlist for an element, navigate to the Create Partlist Element located at Steel > Data/Reporting > Reporting > Create Partlist Elements and then select the Smart Solid.

4. Special Part Properties dialog box opens. Go to the Assignment tab and assign the Display and Area Class for the Smart Solid.

5. Open the Display Classes dialog box and turn off the assigned Display Class Name for the Smart Solid. After turning off, the shape gets disappear same as ProSteel elements.

In this manner, we can add Smart solids to Display as well as Area classes to hide them whenever it is needed for our easy work.
