At the beginning of modelling we need to set up the Area Classes, Display Classes and Part Families. In that case we can create new template for each class and can save those templates. But if it is already created then we can easily call those templates. Import/Export plays an important role in this case. It is very helpful when you started a new model and need to setup those. For doing this, you can simply import the templates that are already created. In this way, we can save a lot of time from typing one by one.
1. Once you have listed all of your class names in the Area Classes, Display Classes and Part Families then click on the Template button which will open a Template Manager.
2. In the Template Manager dialog, you need to create a new folder and then save the template in a new name as shown in below image.
3. The newly created template now you can export to your desired location. And when necessary the same can be imported for other project also.
Right click on the template and click on Export. Browse to your desired location where you want to export then Click on Save button to save it.
In this way you can save all the templates in your desired location. After that when you require for any other new project, you can easily import those templates by clicking on Import button.
