Hello all,
If you would like for the unit of measure for temperature based properties to display in the database and resulting views and reports then you can perform the following. Note that the property in PowerPID already shows the unit of measure with the "degree symbol" as °F or °C. This tip is only to get the same display in the field in the plant project database.
- Load the Class Editor. Load the OpenPlant_Supplemental_Mapping_OPPID schema located in the workspace\Projects\<project name>\dataset\schemas directory.
- For this example expand the Classes node and then locate the Piping Network System class. Switch to the Properties tab for this class.
- There you wil see the NORMAL_OPERATING_TEMPERATURE property. On this property there is a Property Type Converter Specification custom attribute. Edit this as shown below. NOTE: This requires the use of the numeric key pad and NOT the number keys located above the letter keys on your keyboard. Holding down the ALT key while typing the number 0176 on the NUMERIC KEY PAD will add the ASCII Character for the degree symbol. Follow this with the letter F. Type this into the "Suffix" variable field and overwrite the default %%DF.

- Save the schema.
- The results are shown below in the DataManager view and a Line List report generated from DataManager.

I hope this helps,
